Importance of Fingerprint Identification

Introduction:

Fingerprint identification is one of the most important evidence or tool because of their uniqueness. It is used by the criminal investigators from centuries. Fingerprints of a person’s do not change with time. There are lots of important of fingerprints in forensics / Criminal Investigation. It help investigators to link one crime scene to another involving the same person. Fingerprint also used to track a criminal’s record so that their history of crime or proceedings can be found easily.

Once convicted, their fingerprints are all stored in government data which becomes problematic for some petty criminals as they cannot work or live because of their criminal record. In that case some governments also offer pardons which make their life easier by removing their profile from the main system that means from a public perspective, criminal conviction no longer exists. A pardon is a decision by the government to relieve a person of some or all of the legal penalties of a criminal conviction. This is also done by some third parties (Such as; nationalpardon) which helps people to live normally. Accepting a pardon may be interpreted as an admission of guilt in some jurisdictions; in such situations, the offer is turned down.
