Introduction:
Fingerprint identification is one of the most important tools of evidence because of its uniqueness. It has been used by criminal investigators for centuries. It helps investigators to link one crime scene to another involving the same person. Once convicted, their fingerprints are all stored in government data, which becomes problematic for some petty criminals as they cannot work or live because of their criminal record. In that case, some governments also offer pardons, which make their life easier by removing their profile from the main system, which means from a public perspective, the criminal conviction no longer exists. A pardon is a decision by the government to relieve a person of some or all of the legal penalties of a criminal conviction.
