Contractual Basis Recruitment (6 months) in Forensic Science Laboratory, Rohini, Delhi – Forensicfield

What is this about?

Applications are being invited from qualified applicants to cover the 87 positions for a period of six months on a contract basis or until the regular appointment, whichever comes first, in accordance with the manner of recruitment specified against each position.

Positions

1. Jr. Forensic / Asstt. Chemical examiner (Ballistics)

Qualification:

Master’s degree in Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent.

Experience:

3 years experience of analytical methods/research therein in the relevant field.

OR

Officers retired from the post of equivalent to Sr. Scientific Officer or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of the relevant field.

OR

Officers working on the post of equivalent to Sr. Scientific Officer or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of the relevant field.

Desirable Qualification

Doctorate degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized university or equivalent.

2. Jr. Forensic / Asstt. Chemical examiner (Computer Forensic Division)

Essential:

(i) Master degree in Computer Science/Computer Application/information Technology/Physics with specialization in Electronics/Cyber Security from a recognized university/Institute,

OR

B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Engineering/Information Technology/Electronics & Communication Engineering/Electricals & Electronics Engineering from a recognized university/institute.

(ii) 3 years work experience of analytical methods/research in the field of analysis of Digital Data from Central /State Govt./UTs/Public Sector Undertakings/Semi Govt./Autonomous Organizations/Govt. recognized Universities/Institutions.

OR

(i) M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Engineering/Information Technology/Electronics & Communication Engineering/Electricals & Electronics Engineering from a recognized university/institute.

(ii) 02 years work experience of analytical methods/research in the field of analysis of Digital Data from Central/State Govts./UTs/Public Sector Undertakings/Semi Govt./Autonomous Organizations/Govt. recognized Universities/Institutions.

OR

Officers retired from the post of equivalent to Sr. Scientific Officer or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of relevant filed.

OR

Officers working on the post of equivalent to Sr. Scientific Officer or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of relevant filed.

3. Jr. Forensic / Asst. Chemical Examiner (Physics)

Qualification:

Master’s degree in Physics or Forensic Science with Physics or Forensic Science as one of the subjects at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent.

Experience:

03 years experience of analytical methods/ research therein in the relevant field.

OR

Officers retired from the post of equivalent to Sr. Scientific Officer or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of relevant filed.

OR

Officers working on the post of equivalent to Sr. Scientific Officer or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of relevant filed.

Desirable Qualification:

Doctorate degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized university or equivalent.

4. Sr. Scientific Assistant (Ballistic)

Qualification:

Master’s Degree in Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B. Sc. Level from a recognized University or equivalent.

Experience:

02 years experience of analytical methods/research therein in the relevant field.

OR

Officials retired from CFSL/State FSL from the post equivalent to Sr. Scientific Assistant or above with experience in Ballistics/Physics.

OR

Officials working on the post of equivalent to Sr. Scientific Assistant or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of relevant filed.

Desirable Qualification

Doctorate degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized university or equivalent.

5. Sr. Scientific Assistant (Chemistry)

Qualification:

Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Toxicology or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects at B. Sc. Level from a recognized university or equivalent.

Experience:

02 years research/analytical experience therein in the relevant field.

OR

Officials retired from CFSL/State FSL from the post equivalent to Sr. Scientific Assistant or above with experience in the field of Forensic Chemistry or Toxicology.

OR

Officials working on the post of equivalent to Sr. Scientific Assistant or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of relevant filed.

Desirable Qualification

Doctorate degree in concerned discipline from a recognized university or equivalent.

6. Sr. Scientific Assistant (Biology)

Qualification:

Master’s Degree in Zoology or Botany or Anthropology or Human Biology or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Genetics or Biotechnology or Molecular Biology or Forensic Science with Zoology or Botany or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B. Sc. Level from a recognized University.

Experience:

02 years experience in analytical methods/research therein in the relevant field.

OR

Officers retired from the post of equivalent to Sr. Scientific Assistant or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of relevant field preferably in Biology/DNA Technology/Biochemistry.

OR

Officials working on the post of equivalent to Sr. Scientific Assistant or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of relevant filed.

Desirable Qualification

Doctorate degree in concerned discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.

7. Sr. Scientific Assistant (Photo)

Qualification:

Graduate Degree preferably in Science with diploma in photography from a recognized University Institution or equivalent.

Experience:

2 years experience in various photography branches including scientific photography experience with theoretical and practical knowledge of its techniques.

OR

Officers retired from the post of equivalent to Sr. Scientific Assistant or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of relevant filed.

OR

Officials working on the post of equivalent to Sr. Scientific Assistant or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of relevant filed.

Desirable Qualification:

Diploma or Certificate in Forensic Photography from a recognized University or Institution.

8. Scientific Assistant (Ballistic)

Qualification:

Master’s Degree in Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics as one of the subjects at B. Sc. Level from a recognized University or equivalent.

OR

Officers retired from the post of equivalent to Scientific Assistant or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of relevant filed.

OR

Officials working on the post of equivalent to Scientific Assistant or above from CFSLs/State FSLs of relevant filed.

Desirable Experience:

Work experience in a scientific Laboratory from a recognized scientific institution.

9. Scientific Assistant (Chemistry)

12. Scientific Assistant (Photo)

Qualification:

Graduate degree preferably in Science with Diploma in Photography from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.

Desirable Experience:

Work experience in the field of photography from a Scientific Laboratory/recognized scientific institution.

13. Laboratory Assistant (Cyber Forensic Division)

Qualification:

Bachelor degree with Physics or Computer Science or Mathematics as one of the subjects at least two years during the course or Bachelor in Computer Application.

OR

Three years Diploma in (Computer Science/Computer Engineering/IT/Electronics & Communication Engineering/Electronics) from a recognized board/university.

Desirable Qualification:

Master degree in Computer Science/Computer Application/Information Technology/Physics with specialization in electronics/Cyber Security from a recognized university/institute.

OR

B.E./B. Tech. in Computer Engineering/Information Technology/Electronics & Communication Engineering/Electronics & Electricals Engineering from a recognized university/institute.

Duties

For Sl. 1 to 3:

• Examining and reporting forensic cases,
• Deposing in courts as an expert witness,
• Visiting crime scenes (24×7) and any work is given by superiors.

For Sl. 4 to 13:

• Assisting senior officers in examining forensic cases,
• Helping in preparing reports,
• Visiting crime scenes and any other work given by superiors.

1. Jr. Forensic/ Asst. Chemical Examiner – Rs. 77418/ per month.
2. Sr. Scientific Asst. – Rs. 48852/- per month.
3. Scientific Asst. – Rs. 40296/- per month.
4. Laboratory Asst. – Rs. 35190/- per month.

For Retired Experts: as per rule.

(Note: Fixed remuneration will be paid as under and no other allowances shall be admissible/paid.)

Announcement of Result

The names of the selected applicants will be displayed on the FORENSIC SCIENCE LABORATORY notice board. There won’t be any personal or postal notifications made to the applicants. After being selected, the candidates must be prepared to start right away.
