Wheel Lock Gun

Wheel lock gun appear in 1509. It is also termed as Rose Lock.

Generates a spark mechanically with no wick keep lit, it is easier to use and more reliable than match-cord. It operated using the small wheel much like that on cigarette lighters. It was made to wound up with a key before use and when the trigger was pulled, it spun against flint and created the shower of sparks that ignited the powder in the touch hole supposedly that was invented by Leonardo Da Vinci the Italian Renaissance Man. The wheel lock action was an innovation. But due to the high cost of the clockwork mechanism, it was not widely adopted.
